A magnolia tree stood in my grandmother’s yard, quietly present through years of family gatherings, hard seasons, and joyful ones alike. It didn’t demand attention, but it was always there — steady, enduring, and rooted.

Growing up, my mom was always creating. Sewing costumes, making gifts, figuring things out with what she had on hand. Creativity wasn’t about trends or perfection; it was about usefulness, care, and making life a little easier or a little more beautiful. While we worked, Gilmore Girls would play softly in the background, a comforting soundtrack to crafting, laughing, and figuring things out together. That rhythm of care, creativity, and connection shaped everything we do now.
